The trip currently has filled up all 19 of the available diver seats on the dive boat. We have 26 travelers filling all of the 14 rooms we have reserved. Currently there are no more rooms available or dive boat seats available. This is always subject to change.

We are able to accept trip registrations on a “Wait List” basis. To be added to the wait list you must complete a trip registration and pay the trip deposit. DO NOT purchase airfare until you have a room confirmed. The stated refund dates still apply.

The Bluegrass Dive Club has a dive trip and is returning to the Fort Young Hotel on the island nation of Dominica. The club last visited this resort and Dominica in February of 2017. The dive operation is located at the hotel. Buddy Dive the former diver operation has been replaced by Fort Young Dive and their two custom built dive boats.

Just 400 miles off the coast of Puerto Rico and situated between the islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique lies Dominica. The island is of volcanic formation and has mountain ranges that span from one end of the island to the other. The jungle typography will blow you away.

Below ground, you will find some of the healthiest reef systems in the Caribbean. The waters are calm and are home to a diverse set of landscapes that feature fumaroles, high walls and natural hot springs.

Dominica is an excellent destination for scuba diving enthusiasts. The island’s unique location in the Caribbean Sea and its volcanic geology make it a fascinating place to explore underwater.

Two of the most popular dive sites include L’Abym which has a steep wall and submerged volcanic crater and Champagne Reef, where divers can experience the sensation of swimming through a sparkling sea of bubbles created by volcanic activity.

With its warm Caribbean waters, fascinating underwater landscape and diverse marine life, scuba diving in Dominica is a truly unforgettable experience.

Accomodations & Rates

The club has reserved 8 Oceanfront rooms for 16 travelers. We will advise if these rooms fill up and subsequent registrations will be pending confirmation of your room booking with the resort.

You must be a 2024 current paid member of the BGDC to register for this trip. Membership dues can be paid as part of your trip registration. You are also required to be a current dues paid member in 2025 when the trip departs. 2025 dues rate have not been set yet and are payable at a later date.

Club Trip Rebates

We urge trip registrants to make rooming sharing arrangements themselves. The club will attempt to match up registrants for their double occupancy, if they do not have prior arrangements for sharing.

The Bluegrass Dive Club has a policy and successful history of returning dive discounts in the form of post trip rebates to our trip participants on a pro rata share based upon each participants specific booking. Trip rebates are not guaranteed and based upon meeting requirements of our contract with the resort. These rebates come from commissions and comps, which are earned by the club. Our only promise is that any rebates are calculated in a fair and equitable way. The club Bylaws, Article XI. Compensation, Section 1.B. govern our rebates program.
