There were many anemones, many so large they were referred to as “carpet anemones”. Also several different colors and shapes, but all seemed to have a certain species of fish (referred to as anemone fish) in close contact. This is for protection, as the anemones have stinging tips, except this fish is immune. This particular anemone is mostly closed rather than laying flat.

Meetings are In-Person on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Roosters Restaurant at 2640 Richmond Rd. in Lexington, Kentucky.
