Georgia Aquarium & Ginnie Springs Florida Trip

Fellow BGDC Members,

 

Your club Board has approved an end of summer dive trip / fun trip from Thursday, 8/1/19 to Sunday, 8/4/19.  We will be doing a domestic, drivable  trip to Ginnie Springs in High Springs, FL  and a Dive Experience with Gentle Giants at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, GA.

You can opt-in for all or parts of this club trip.  The only part of the trip invoiced and paid by the club will be the Georgia Aquarium, to qualify for a group rate.  All other activities and accommodations will be paid directly by you.

 

Itinerary:

Thursday, 8/1/19 Drive to Ginnie Springs, High, Florida (approx. 10 hours) Drive to Atlanta, GA, Atlanta Aquarium, Dive with the Gentle Giants.  Check-in at 2:30PM for 3:00PM experience.  Total time 2 ½ hours, :30 in the water.  8 tickets remaining.  Following the Aquarium you can either drive on to Ginnie Springs or overnight in GA and arrive on Friday AM. The Thursday Georgia Aquarium is a secondary date if the Sunday Georgia Aquarium gets booked up or does not fit your schedule.
Friday, 8/2/19 Dive, swim, play at Ginnie Springs    
Saturday, 8/3/19 Dive, swim, play at Ginnie Springs or Glue Grotto nearby Devil Springs and/or Blue Grotto, Williston, FL, 41 miles south  
Sunday, 8/4/19 Drive to Atlanta, GA, Georgia Aquarium, Dive with the Gentle Giants.  Check-in at 2:30PM for 3:00PM experience.  Total time 2 ½ hours, :30 in the water.  6 tickets remaining.  Following the Aquarium you can either overnight in GA or drive back to KY. Drive back to Kentucky  

 

Accomodations:
Atlanta, GA:  Optional, if you choose to stay overnight it will be on your own.
Ginnie Springs, High Springs, FL:  Cottage and camping on-site $various, Cadillac Motel $50-75/night, High Springs Country Inn $67/night, Quality Inn $85/night

It is encouraged that participants will communicate and agree on a location and rooming arrangements.
